What should I be reporting on?
You should report on naturally occurring evidence of meeting the teaching standards. In your day to day practice, you will be inquiring into how to improve your practice so that all learners will have better outcomes. It follows therefore that you could report on these inquiries as they occur so that you can gather evidence as it occurs at the different phases of inquiry.
What are the 6 standards?
You will find the six standards on the second tab of this blog along with elaborations on what this might look like for a teacher. In addition, you will find each standard listed as a label to the right and also underneath each post, so as you add to your blog, you can label each post with the appropriate standard to make for easy searching. The labels are added to the right of the editing pane, as you write your post, or can be added retrospectively to each post.
There is a third tab - Tataiako - which is an illustration from the Education Council's pdf on Tataiako - the cultural competencies, which a teacher should also have evidence of to illustrate standard 1.
